Since he's going to be in Nexus for awhile, Matt Murdock is working on finding the essentials. A church, a gym and recreational pursuits he never quite was able to get around to without impeding into his late night jaunts incognito. A gym is in order. And all he really asks for is that there be boxing bags and some quiet. Taking in the newest space he pauses and catches the tells of someone familiar. His recollection is not always so keen for someone he's only met once but this particular person...

*At the admission of the Nexus' daunting prospects, she gives a sympathetic chuckle.*
Nobody knew what they were getting into when they came here. There are literal gods who pop in and are surprised.
*On the subject of space, she nods, making a wordless sound of affirmation.*
It is. I go to dangerous places. When I go in alone, coming out alone is fine. When I go in with company... odds are I'm still coming out alone.

Matt feels at ease that he has her laughing. And hearing that he may just be among gods gets a surprised, confused look. This place, every time... new surprises. "Gods?" What on earth would he do if he had met with a god let alone God? Woah.
A dangerous life alone. So much truth resonates. Matt might not go to different worlds but leaving his rooftop into the night alone has been his plan from the start. "Hope I didn't bring up something."

*She smirks a little at his unease over the theological implications.*
We get gods here, sometimes. It apparently makes a great break room when your job is reality.
*His concern gets a shake of her head.*
It's the life I chose, and keep choosing. If the consequences were too much to handle, I'd choose something else.

A god leaving their post. In all the things he is learning these days, it isn't too out there push comes to shove. He still would have a hard pressed time believing if he were to meet such a being.
"That really does sum it all up when you put it like that. It's really a calling to you." He means it as an observation rather than a question.

Don't sell yourself short. You're quite steady on your feet.
*It might be worth noting that Samus has spares--she loads up on the things whenever she finds them. She's just still evaluating Matt.*
I do what I do because if I didn't, I wouldn't be me. That's true of everyone, don't you think?
no subject
"Yes," he smiles a little at the further explanation. "You're more than right. It is always about choice in the end." Matt wants to stay here and still be Daredevil. That's his decision.

*Your bluff is being called, Matt.*
And what do you do, when you're choosing?
no subject
"What's right. What would be for the greater good."
no subject
A calling of your own.
no subject
"Yes. That's What I would call it." And this is a pretty close admission to anything in public. Matt should feel tense, anxious. He feels... a strange sense of confidence and peace.

Well. Let's see what you've got. You want to do this in the ring, or find a quiet corner?

Lead on, then.

*She takes a moment to gather her things, tucking them into a gym bag, before heading outside. She moves with the languid grace of a big cat, power at ease. She's watching Matt out of the corner of her eye, though, reading his body language and letting him choose their path.*

"Please tell me if you have any objections for location."

Still selling yourself short. You sometimes react to obstacles before your cane encounters them; your breathing deepens when you're under stress, which speaks of training; and what I can see of your stride, stance, and build under that suit tell me you're quite the acrobat for an unaugmented human. It's a good bluff, most people are probably fooled.

"I'm used to most people, Samus."
no subject
Most people aren't in the Nexus. Either relax, because the odds are slim of anyone here ever getting back to your Facet, or sharpen up your game because people will notice the slips. Whenever you're ready.
*What is she talking about? Her hands aren't up in any kind of a guarding position. Maybe she's taunting him, with that.*
no subject
"Ready."
no subject
*With a word, she lays claim to the advantage of the second mover, goading him to act first. She's standing straight-on at the moment, presenting the widest, most inviting target she can. Her hands float down by her hips, open palms turning toward him in prodding expectation.*
