With no real gauge I think that there's nothing wrong with self promotion. You admit it too.

True. I just like to remain aware that there's a fine line between self-promotion and arrogance.

I've struggled with that a little in the past. It can be a hard habit to break.

It was in high school, mostly. I was arrogant, cruel.

( mostly to cover up the fact that her self-confidence was almost nonexistent. )

I made a lot of people's lives hell for no reason other than I could, and it made me feel better. It's not exactly my proudest phase.
