audio;
Hello.
[Cuz that's what you say. He's not quite so awkward and is ready to blame it on the situation.]
Ah. Well... I'm afraid I'm sportly but who am I to refuse someone? Maybe you can be the judge.
[There is a lie in here. Yes, yes there is.]

Mister Murdock, a pleasure to hear from you. My name is Captain Ariadne Wednesday, but I go by Ari these days.
[ Her voice is deep for a woman's, and touched with an accent that is posh English, with a hint of something else. Arabic perhaps? Latin? Something strange. In the background, he can hear she's sitting on a windowsill overlooking a street, probably in one of Eudio's many small flats. ]
I would be pleased to meet you for a round or three, say this week sometime? I've yet to find someone willing to exchange proper blows, and you'll forgive me but -- the meanest man I ever knew in my life went by the name of Murdock. He hit like the fist of Hephaestaus, which is excellent motivation to learn to dodge and block, if you catch my meaning. That's why your name caught my eye. Maybe we can teach each other a thing or two, hmm? I look forward to hearing from you, either way. Until later.

Captain? Can I ask what profession? Military? I think you've done enough in your life to warrant at least being called Captain Ari Wednesday at least once or twice before we do away with formality.
[It's a musical voice. Matt's is rough, low and very American. He considers it to be unremarkable.]
I can't possibly boast fists of a god. I'm not quite anyone's idea of anything I suppose. That sounds like it would be a good time.
[Modest. Omitting quite a bit. Murdock what the hell are you doing now?]
audio
Excellent. Do you have a space you like to practice in? Somewhere I might meet you?
And to answer your question, I am Captain of a ship, and no, I'm not even remotely military. You may call me Captain if you like, but I leave the other option open to you.
[ She likes his voice. And his modesty. It's not something she'd expect from a man who put 'boxing' on a list of defining traits. ]
I'm looking forward to meeting you, Mister Murdock. At your leisure.
[ He can hear the smile in her voice. She's missed a little rough and tumble. ]
audio
I found a small gym. I can forward you the address.
[And then they'll go from there. Boxing is an honest interest of his and hiding all of the time, it gets tiring.]
Well, the preference is entirely reliant on you. The mister isn't required on my part.
Re: audio
As you will. Matt.
[ Will this awkwardness never end? No, this is the life of a traveler, Ari. You get out of your wheelhouse, make new friends, try not to bloody their noses too badly. And anyway, it's refreshing to meet people who only know you by reputation, isn't it? ]
How does tomorrow evening work for you?
audio
It's a small place. Part of why I like it.
[He thinks that perhaps it's just her way. In his own way, Matt is thought to be awkward. And he still is grappling with whether or not to come clean about his state of being even if there is no Devil of Hell's Kitchen here. There are still people's lives at stake with this secret. And who knows when an enemy could show up. Still there is that drive to meet people, have contact, be a real person. imagine it.]
Sounds great. I hope to see you there.
[ooc; if you'd prefer a closed log, I can def get one up for you. Sorry I'm a little slow on the draw ;-;b]
